What is the difference between preliminary and finalized results?

Preliminary results are automatically generated results, based on Strava data, that are still open to be manipulated by the race organizer.
Once the race organizer is satisfied with the rankings in the preliminary results, he or she can mark the results as finalized. This indicates that the results has been checked and validated as final (to a degree that the race organizer finds sufficient).

What is the 'Event ID' on an event?

The 'Event ID' is a unique abbreviation for an event or eventseries specified by a Race Organizer. It is used for general identifying purposes and in many cases it is a requirement that the Event ID is specified in the name of a Strava activity for the activity to qualify for getting in the results for the event.

What is the purpose of the 'Type' specification for an event?

The 'Type' specification for an event controls the way participant are ranked in the results for the event:

  • Generic/Road race/Criterium: Participants will be ranked by when the Strava segment finishline was passed.
  • Time trial: Participants will be ranked by time from passing Strava segment startline to passing Strava segment finishline.
  • Distance event: Participants will be ranked by distance ridden from event start to event end.

How is Watt/kg calculated?

Watt/kg i calculated by taking the average watt power for the entire event and The 'Type' specification on an event controls the way participant are ranked in the results for the event:

  • Generic/Road race/Criterium: Particpants will be ranked by when the Strava segment finishline was passed.
  • Time trial: Particpants will be ranked by time from passing Strava segment startline to passing Strava segment finishline.

How can I create my own event?

How are my data used?

By participating in any event on Zwift Nation you are agreeing with Zwift Nation and the race organizer collecting and storing personal information such as weight, height, athlete/rider ID's from sources like Zwift Nation, Strava, Zwift and any race logging tools. This data is collected for the purpose of race tracking and results generation only and will NOT be shared with 3rd parties or used for commercial purposes.
